Apex Hides the Hurt: A Novel

"The protagonist of Colson Whitehead's briskly existentialist third novel is a nomenclature consultant...The book's title comes from a bandage manufactured to color coordinate with pigments other than Caucasian." (VillageVoice.com)

I put this cover in the friggin' brilliant category.

Does the bandaid look a bit limp or is it me? If there is a problem I get PLENTY of spam mail that could correct this problem.

Great title, great interpretation of title. Framing the design as a box, and making the box the cover was a worthwhile decision that puts it over the top for me. A lesser (or lazier) designer would not have gone to the extra trouble.

For some reason it feels like an extra perk to see the title repeated a second time on the side of the "box". But that's just me.
