The Last of Her Kind

I hope this book has something to do with the 1970s. That's what I think about when I see that type, and especially those colors. And it looks (?) like the image to the right of the title is meant to echo the pattern in the dress below.

This just doesn't work for me. Anyone love it?

    I like it. But I like those colors. Although, I'm not sure if I like them enough to pick up the book to give it a chance. *shrug*

    The image is a familiar one to me - see the cover of ISBN: 0571214959, where the colours seem a bit richer. I find it half appealing, half ugly.

    The problem with making something TOO true 70's style... is that it looks like it belongs in a thrift store.
