China Shakes the World, US and UK versions

It's not often that book covers induce motion sickness. But the US version of China Shakes the World comes close:

    I like the idea behind the US version, but it's desparately in need of a font transplant. That subtitle looks like somebody typed over the cover in WordPerfect.

    i like the uk cover a lot, but i feel like it's kind of an ugly shade of red. granted, i'm color blind, and i suppose it could also just be the scan or my monitor.
