The best -- and sometimes the worst -- of book cover design
Definately the Enso circle/tire, it just says it all. Don't like the use of Helvetica in the other one either, it's just too safe a choice.
Cover design by Peter Mendelsund.
Both are nice. Is that Paul Sahre on top or Peter Mendelsund?
the circle/tire, without doubt. elegant and without the woozifying effect of the jacket art.
hmm, no offence to Peter Mendelsund (who is freakin awesome) but this seems like a very quick, throwaway concept. Doesn't really say anything to me…
That Enso Tire is brilliant.
Looks like the cover of Scootering by Jon Stevens. Old Penguin title 1962 designed by bruce robertson.
