I'd love to think for the sake of balanced scientific and philosophic inquiry there's a chicken on the back cover. But Stephen Hawking says it's all about the egg.

    Perhaps the author's name is also a pun? I know that it is not, but it adds another dimension of complexity to the interplay between image and typography, even is extremely subtle.
