More's the pity if you consider the great british treatment: (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/3442310180/026-0910879-9570024?v=glance&n=266239) They called the book "Tokyo" overseas and it is one of the best thrillers I have read in some time (very restrained, almost zen-like in it's approach and all the more terrifing). If I had to chose between the two covers, the paperback would be closer to the spirit of the novel - the hc looks like something from the fifties. Still, have a look at the brits!
