Love the cover of this cookbook / history of milk: the off-centeredness of the title; the type (which looks old-ish but is clearly a modern computer typeface, and which therefore serves as a nice visual reference to the "through the ages" in the subtitle); and finally a cover that doesn't float a singular, iconic image but actually grounds it on a surface.
UPDATE: Awesome detail from reader Scott: "The designer is Barbara deWilde. Barbara experimented with creating the type using milk and a paint brush before choosing to use this type."
This was a tough one to look at, as I haven't had a glass of milk in 35 years and I fully concur with Chevy Chase on the subject:
