Just a pipe that represents masculinity, or a Magritte pipe that's not really a pipe? I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the transgendered community probably doesn't appreciate being thought of as *representations* of the gender they identify with, but that's what this allusion to The Treachery of Images makes me think of. Or again, maybe a pipe is just a pipe. Thoughts? Has anyone read this?
