Do the elephant and donkey help or hurt this?

Are you talking politics now, or design?

Hah! That's funny.

I'm not exactly sure what that's supposed to be, anyway. A sticker? Bi-partisan BandAid?

Would it work without the sticker, though? Would the masses "get it," I mean?

Perhaps this is just the case of a good idea that didn't pan out. (Have LOTS of those myself. Too many, probably....)

Do you think the designer had to compromise with the publisher or author? They wanted something to say democrat and republican clearly, and this is what the designer came up with. I'm just guessing.

Perhaps a better idea would be to have the old book on a table with political paraphenalia tucked inside it, the edges sticking out.

I think that would be a good guess, Philip.

Hurt. Phillip´s is a good idea.

Keep the elephant and donkey, tone down the colors.

I would have aligned the sticker in the middle of the cross. Using the cross to visually separate the two icons would make more sense.

I think the cover is boring. Boring type, poorly placed and boring photo of a tattered Bible. Then the sticker. Just not a great idea in general.

It's the whole design. BAD TYPE!!!
