Ha! I saw this yesterday, and I liked this cover so much, I bought the book.
My only critique is that the 'aged' look seems arbitrary . . . I might be wrong though, becuase from the get go, the book delves into the darker, sinister side of Mao, for which the 'aged' look is a nice counterpoint.
I prefer this cover to the other. In fact, this is very effect.
