First Man

Don't mean to end the week on a bad note, but ugh. The newer version on the bottom has the marketing department all over it.

It's definately a better use of the image than the original. I would stop and look at the redesign, where I would just walk past the original.

Wow okay now that I know the bottom one is the redesign I fully agree.

It raises the age old question- which came first the first man or the space suit.

So very true, your comment about the bottom version. The simplicity of the top cover is alot better.

The redesign catches my eye like a car crash would. /shudder

I much prefer the top version, but the bottom version is sticker-proof.

Book chains each have their own stupid corner sticker (30% off!) labeling schema, a schema from which they refuse to deviate even when it obscures important title words.

The bottom one can take a sticker in any of the four corners and still convey the marketing intent of the book.

I don't LIKE it, but I understand it.
