Taking Things Seriously: 75 Objects With Unexpected Significance
Design by Carol Hayes
It's probably been done before, but I love the idea of this book: short essays about the one possession that occupies a big part of your life.
I haven't seen this in person yet, so I'm wondering if grouping the objects together so tightly allows them to pop from across the room, or if from a distance this looks like a still life instruction book.
Thought about grouping these as they've done here?

Love it. Who is publisher/designer.
Princeton Architectural Press. Not sure of the designer.
It looks like the objects are real, not on a book cover, don't know if that's good or not.
Is it possible that I can run my potential book cover with you for review? I'm preparing to independently publish and need to be critiqued on the design. Possible?
i like the colors and way the various objects are set up... Otherwise it is a basic cover. Nothing too cool happening here on a type level or conceptual note. It's cool though.
The designer is co-author Carol Hayes (Brooklyn, NY).
Noted. Thanks!
It's an interesting cover, but I wonder if it would look better if flipped horizontally and moved a little towards the spine. Somehow, that would make the spine look good too.
P.S: I love this blog, been lurking here a long time now.
This is a beautiful cover. I definitely am interested in the book because of the design
