Hello and sorry for off-topic. I have a question no one can answer me here in Moscow(you are my last hope though): why at least 80% of all books published in russia are hardcovers? I mean, it seemed to me like an inverse proportion exists in UK and US. Otherwise, why hardcovers are not so popular in UK? Economics, amount of forest and all that factors don't really seem to work. Answer is much more simple, but I just don't know. Please help. Tim.

Hi Tim: I wish I had an answer for you, but alas, I don't.
Does anyone else have an answer for Tim? Someone who understands the economics of publishing a bit better than I do?
