The Best Intentions: Kofi Annan & the UN in the Era of American World Power

Designed by Jennifer Carrow

So simple, but so effective: Kofi Annan and the UN both have the best of intentions, but it's clear who got the better of whom here.

This is very evocative to me of one of the dominant buildings at the UN in NYC

Agrees about the building. And that's pretty close to UN blue as well.

Re David -- you mean the Secretariat building. And indeed, it's as though Mr. Annan is walking away from it. Nicely played. Especially given that monstrosity of a subtitle. Here the designer has taken a potential liability (the nightmare of having to work with that much text) and made it the strength. I'll just sit here and feel envious now.

This cover is beautiful. The layout is elegant. The typography is clear and the Secretariat Building "reads" nicely. The portrait photo is perfectly placed and pops on the grey neutral background.
