Musicophilia

Both designed by Chip Kidd

UK cover is first, US cover is below it.

I don't know that I'm in love with the music notes and staff approach to the text (although it is growing on me), but I do know this: that picture of Sacks on the US cover is creeping me out and it's making me think of what surely is history's greatest t-shirt:

Personally I favor the UK cover. I think it can really do some damage to a book's content when we portray one individual on the front, it tends to say that the book is all about that one person (not so much about music).

Both designs done by Chip Kidd.

The book covers are okay, and both are dignified. The T-shirt is entirely tasteless.

I prefer the music notes- as for the t-shirt- you are so going to get coal in your stocking this year.

I'd go for the music notes only cover (altho it's an easy way out and safe approach). That photoshoot makes it look like a book of lyrics to a three word name folk/rock band.

Thanks for including both versions.

As an American I had no idea what the book was supposed to be about until I scrolled down and saw the man dry-heaving on the title.
