Love the cover of this cookbook / history of milk: the off-centeredness of the title; the type (which looks old-ish but is clearly a modern computer typeface, and which therefore serves as a nice visual reference to the "through the ages" in the subtitle); and finally a cover that doesn't float a singular, iconic image but actually grounds it on a surface.
UPDATE: Awesome detail from reader Scott: "The designer is Barbara deWilde. Barbara experimented with creating the type using milk and a paint brush before choosing to use this type."
This was a tough one to look at, as I haven't had a glass of milk in 35 years and I fully concur with Chevy Chase on the subject:

Interesting, and very playful font. I'm surprised none of the lettering was formed from spilled milk drops, however, this is nice . . . grounding the milk on the white surface almost gives it that "in the spotlight" look, too. Well done.
Those unfriendly hulu videos can't be seen outside the USA...lovely cover, though, and lovely site!

What I think is cool is that the cover is ALMOST black and white, but that metallic red cap just makes it.
I'd never think of using that typeface, but damn that looks nice. nice subtle colour too.
