Rogue Economics
Designer credit to come
The Freakonomics blog picked up on the Favorites of 2008 post, lamenting the fact that no economics titles were included. Here's one of the books they singled out as noteworthy (design-wise). I remember seeing it when it was released, but I don't remember why I didn't blog about it. I like the European feel and background texture, and the sharks are a decent way to represent the "rogue industries (that are) transmuting into global empires (and the) dark economic forces (that) are creating victims out of millions of ordinary people."
Not sure if the sharks are Photoshopped or not, but I think I know where I'd put my money; apparently it's pretty tough to make a convincing Oragami shark:

very lovely and original.
The type on the 'rogue sharks' looks backwards. What's up with that?
Anon 10:48: Good catch. I didn't see that.
