Casablanca: Movies and Memory

Gun to my head, if I had to pick a favorite principle of design, repetition would win hands down. That's why Casablanca: Movies and Memory caught my eye.


I have to say, though, that Peter Mendelsund's design of K. pretty much sets an unmatchable standard. Man, I love this cover:

Seriously, though, I've always loved that K. cover.

I like the Casablanca one better than K. It reminded me of a filmstrip.
