Discussed in the Village Voice book section.I like this, although it does suffer from the simple-single-image-in-middle-of-the-cover syndrome that seems to be everywhere...
Mmmm, no. Does not entice me to pick it up.
Oooh... what font is his name in? The title font doesn't quite complement the author font, though. And yes, the single image is getting to me.
The typeface for slowman needs to be more prominent. Again, people need to get past the all-centered design approach. The answer? Study the grid.
This seems be a type of branding. All of this author's books look like this. So when you are in the bookstore, you see it as a new book by an author you know rather than a good dustjacket. I say no go. But it does sell his books.
