The Face of a Naked Lady

I remember seeing the hardcover design for this book (bottom) when it came out. I think I didn't post it 'cause I figured you wouldn't want to hear me complain once again about my distaste for bad Photoshopped jackets.

The paperback is much better, but those blurbs are pretty annoying.

It's sloppy PS work - arrrg my eyes.

The quotes really make the cover disconnected from the theme. The body isn't even centered either.

Looking at these covers I have NO idea what the book is about, where it is set, if its a hard-boiled mystery (HC suggests that) or a whodunnit (according to the PB). It's a complete mess.
