That's what happens when you use stock photography. I remember seeing this image years ago as part of some Photodisc collection or another.
That's pretty much the de facto color photo of a Bubble Chamber. It's used everywhere, I remember seeing it in a text book at school about a week before going into a record store and seeing that CD cover.
It's a great picture, and I'd much rather see it on the cover of a book about scientists than mis-attributed to the CD cover artist of an "indie" rock band. :)
