This is simple and rugged and beautiful in person, seeming almost like a still from a 1950s newsreel. And damn it if I didn't write down the designer's name. Someone help a blogger out? Buy this book from Amazon.com

I dunno if it's the latest string of postings here or on fwis, but there seems to be a steady stream of socialist/russian influenced art out there and I love it.
The tilt, title and lettering remind me more of a '50s scifi flick. Or something from film noir, what with those gradients creeping in from the corners.
This cover reminds me more of WW II campaign poster back in the 40`s. Stuff back from "Rosie the Riveter" age with a fine modern touch. Check out some stuff like that over here: http://bss.sfsu.edu/internment/posters.html

The back flap (searchable on Amazon) says designer is "J. Wang."
