I like the neat last two but not the first three.

1. Too much text to appreciate the art

2. I don't like the typo and I'm slightly fed up with the book-within-book concept.

3. It hurts my eyes.

Love the second one, if only for what was done with the text, and I would like the last one a lot more if the type was a little more interesting.

Hmm, I kind of hate the last one. I thought to myself "what's frightening about looking into a brown paper bag?"

I love the first three best. This is such a fun blog. I love Five for Friday.

Thanks!

I like the second and the last one. The others are fine, except I found Sex With Kings to be a little busy, but that's probably the publisher's fault between the PS tag and the NY Times quote.

All are eh, except for the first. Although I totally agree about the busyness of the text overpowering the image. It would have so much more impact if they did something different with the subtitle (maybe fit it in the spaces between the main title words?). Also, the penguin is in a horribly distracting place.
